Young people want opportunities outside school to have fun with their friends, to create and lead projects that make positive change in their communities, and to be in an environment where they feel valued.

We run clubs in our main centre (Bannatyne House) as well as various outreach venues. Although activities change depending on age, the goal remains the same; give young people a safe, fun space to run with their ideas and be creative!

We asked some of our young people about their experiences at the clubs.

Scott

“It’s like a safe haven for me. I share a room with my wee brothers so it’s always hectic at home. The club gives me a bit of space for myself. Things I enjoy doing are playing pool, meeting with friends and making cakes!”

Michelle

“I’ve been coming to the clubs at FARE since P1 and I’m now in high school. I love it! There’s something different for you to do every week. The workers are nice and they listen to your ideas. You have a voice here.”

Andrew

“It’s giving people a better place to be. You can make friends outwith school. You also discover things that you might have never done before. I’ve had a lot of new doors opened to me by coming here.”
