FARE offer a delicate family support service Within Bannatyne House, Blairtummock and Wellpark to vulnerable or isolated families who require some extra support.
This can often include having a friendly chat with another adult, support or guidance and also linking in with other agencies when specialised help is required.
Through the family support service, we aim to reduce isolation, reconnect people to services and the community and, where possible, integrate them into our activity programme.
FARE delivers food hampers to the Over 60s within the local community at Christmas. The process takes two weeks with support from Arnold Clark to collect the groceries, hauling them into the building and packing.
This project has proven to be a massive support to those in need, with many who have received hampers telling us that this meant they did not need to leave home in the cold weather or that it meant they could use the money they saved on food to heat their homes.
