FARE have over 50 paid staff who have various skills and qualities that are brought together to work in our dynamic team.
In order for us to be able to provide the best possible support to the people in the communities we work in, we are always looking at ways in which we can expand our knowledge on the issues they may face.
FARE’s staff continually take part in training and personal development. This allows us to ensure we can provide the correct support on the most current issues affecting the people we work with.
As has always been the case with FARE, volunteers continue to be a vital part of our services. We have several assisting in the delivery of our services, as well as additional volunteers helping out with our Legacy Games, hamper delivery and Christmas dinners for our adult groups.
FARE provides support to six students on placement, all of whom are also members of staff at FARE. Two of these students are working towards HNC level qualifications and four are studying Community Development at degree level, with three due to graduate this summer.
This year we have five Modern Apprentices based within our building and a further six based outwith at other community organisations throughout the East End of the city.
Each apprentice us gaining valuable workplace experience and is being supported through their SVQ Level 3 Awards in Youth Work, with all making good progress.
